Vacation Care
School holiday placements are subject to availability. If you have a before/after school care term contract with Forest Friends Family Day Care this does not give you automatic access to our school holiday care service. A separate contract needs to be completed if you require care outside of school terms.

School holidays are a time when children have the opportunity to play and have fun with their friends without the worry of a school routine or homework. Here at Forest Friends Family Day Care I will provide your child with a number of fun activities that will occupy their day with a combination of indoor and outdoor play environments.

Excursions may be planned during school holiday periods however this will be determined by the number of non-school aged children attending care during that time.

As family day care is a mixed age group environment it is important that school aged children respect the needs of the younger children within the group. During the hours of 12 – 2pm non school aged children are involved in ‘rest’ or ‘sleep’ time. For school aged children in attendance this time will be utilised for quiet activities e.g watching a movie, reading books, playing quiet games.

Food
During school holiday/vacation periods it is a requirement that you supply your child with enough food for their day in care. Please be aware that younger children within the group may have allergies or food intolerances. Refer to the food section of our parent handbook for more details on appropriate food choices.
